Natural ingredients are always welcome. Skin would love to be pampered with natural stuff.  Making a batch of cosmetic at home can be super fun. Ingredients are under your control. Customization can happen according to one’s need.

So, let’s get started.


All you need is Aloe Vera gel and oils. Blend them well. Your cream is ready. Yes it’s that’s easy.

Oils and Alovera

In case of dry skin one can go for concoction of oils like; almond oil, vitamin E oil, coconut oil, castor oil, mustard oil, flaxseed oil. Amount of each oil can vary. One can choose according to one’s need.

Normal or oily skin people can choose the lighter oil. Avoid heavy oils like castor oil.

There is no fixed quantity. One can adjust and play around with that. People with oily skin can have more of aloevera and less of oils. On the other hand, people with dry skin can have the other way round.

Blend Oils and Alovera gel well to form a cream


Since our preparation has a water base: aloe vera, adding a preservative is must. Few drops of liquid 0.5% Germall plus would be enough.It’s a broad spectrum preservative. Rough guide would be: add 1gm Germall plus to 100 gm of product.


Adding few drops of essential oils add a nice aroma to your preparation. People with extremely sensitive skin are better off without essential oils. For essential oils are known to cause allergy in some. In caseyou are not allergic, go ahead and add some.

Emulsifiers are not needed. Just blend aloe vera and oils well. Blending them well is a must.

People suffering from eczema, allergic dermatitis, atopic dermatitis must apply these hydrating creams at least twice a day.

Flax seed oil contains omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids. Excellent for repairing damaged skin.

Vitamin E is an excellent antioxidant.

Coconut oil is great hydrating agent.

In case rancid aroma starts coming, that means oils have oxidized. Better to discard and make a new batch.

One can put them into different jars or case. Gift them toyour loved ones. And enjoy using them for yourself.
